I doubt tpdesfahrt picture could be made today for the above reasons. Matthau is the kind of every man hero we don't get as much any more. It's influence onto later films like Speed and Reservoir Dogs is ser, and while I am a fan of both of those later films, neither is as well-paced as this one.
